How to Deal with the Fear of COVID 19

Hey Everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!!! Today I wanted to share what has been on my heart lately. I know times are definitely different right now as we deal with COVID 19. You can’t hardly have a conversation with anybody with out them bringing up “the virus” and on top of that we see the media blowing this issue up!! It has been a crazy time and on top of everything we have been staying at home and working! Its definitely something that history will remember! However I want to talk about something that I have been realizing lately! That is is the FEAR this has caused. The fear in people this virus has caused is absolutely insane. Yes I know this virus is serious but I want to touch on our emotional state of mind during this time period. I know personally while working from home I have went through ups and downs of worry during this season of life. I finally decided it was time to not handle this on my own but give my worries and anxiety to God!! This is easier said than done so I wanted to share with everyone ways I was able to do this. It is a battle everyday to renew our minds and focus on what God tells us to focus on while we are surrounded by a virus that is currently out of hand. I have found that I can not deal with this on my own I have to start my day every morning and every night focusing on what God has called us to focus on. God tells us not to worry and give our fear and anxiety to him. What I have found that works for me is digging into the Bible and placing my focus on what God wants me to focus on. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things” Philippians 4:8

The question is how do we focus on the right things while the world around us seems to be sinking into depression. Trust me I know it is hard and I know that somedays you just want to cry and wish this all away. I decided to share different ways I have stayed positive during this time!

The Bible App

If you haven’t downloaded the Bible App, now is the time! It has so many awesome devotionals and content that will help you with overcoming fear of COVID 19. The Bible App also contains mini daily reminders that can help us through our daily walk. A few of my favorite devotionals on. this app are: Anxious for Nothing, Victory Over Anxiety, Exploring Your Gifts, Too Blessed To Be Stressed For Moms, Claim Your Crown, and many more! I have started reading the Bible App every morning before I even get out of bed!! That way the first thoughts to start my day are positive ones!

Workout Daily

Working out daily has definitely helped me get my body moving and starting my day off right! Physical activity is very important to me and getting my body moving really helps me relieve stress! Currently my favorite thing to do while at home is the FITON App. This isn’t sponsored I just absolutely love this app! It has so many different styles of workouts. Any type of workout you can think of this app has it!! I love it and the best part is…. ITS FREE!! Some of my favorite workout on the app are the Full Body Strength Workouts, The Dance Workouts, and the Quick Hits!

Guard Your Mind With Media

I have found for me that the less negative media I take in the better! I know the facts but filling my mind with media that might not even be true is a waste of my time and energy! Focus on positive media. If you are going to look up media than make sure you are finding positive information too! It can be overwhelming and depression if you are only reading the negative information.

Get in The Word

The Bible is truly God’s words and it can help us navigate through this season in life. I have found reading the Bible helps me stay positive through out the day! I speak it out loud or write it down so I can be constantly reminded of it!! I will share 33 verses below that are positive encouragement when facing fear!

These are all big factors that have helped me during this crazy time. I hope these are all things that can help you too!! Remember this too shall pass and that God will help you through this season. If you have any questions or just want someone to talk to please reach out!!
