So I shared with you guys a couple post back that I started my postpartum workout journey! I decided today I would give you an update on how that is going! I have stuck with it and I truly believe that is because I decided to start out slow and keep building on my goals! I have started working out with friends two days a week! We do some sort of workout video, so far we have done Insanity, Jillian Michaels, Tae-Bo, and a few others. Working out with friends not only makes it fun but it keeps you accountable!! I have also decided to start working my way to running another 5k! I have always had the best results when I was running on the regular! The best way for me to start running is to just sign myself up for a 5k and than I know I need to get with it and run! There are so many awesome runs out there and they are so fun!! I did a color run and loved it!! This time I am doing a run that supports an aquarium! To start my training on the5k I plan to run for approximately 15 to 30 minutes every 3 days (the days I am not working out with friends). Today was my first day to run!! Yes, it was brutal but I am so excited to get back in shape! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time before the race to reach your goal! I recommend at least a month and usually longer than that depending on your goal! My goal is always to finish the 5k without stopping! My first workout consisted of running a 400 and resting for 30 seconds (2x) and running 100 yards and walking 100 yards (2x). Yes this was a short run but the goal is just start somewhere! I guess that is the moral behind my post…. Just Start!!! Even if it’s very little just do something!! You will not regret it! Well I hope you all have a great week!
